Accommodation

Most people who attend the activities of the camp stay at Tiona Holiday Park, where the activities are held. You can book a campsite, a room in dormitory accommodation (“The Lodge”), or one of the many different cabins. There’s an option for every budget.

To be able to book accommodation at Tiona during the Camp period of 27 December to 2 January, you must first register for the Camp with Community of Christ and show your registration confirmation to Tiona Holiday Park. By showing your registration confirmation at the time of booking, you will ensure you get a 15% discount on your accommodation.

Once you have registered for the camp, make your accommodation booking directly with Tiona Holiday Park via email or phone or in person: stay@tiona.com.au +61 2 6554 0291. All accommodation bookings must be made directly with Tiona Holiday Park and are subject to Tiona Holiday Park’s terms and conditions and cancellation policy.

We strongly recommend you book your accommodation in January or February for the following camp in December because accommodation places fill up fast (Camp participants receive priority bookings during January and February each year before they are made available to the public in March). We will book some reserve accommodation in March for anyone who chooses to come later in the year. Our reserve will include a block-booking of The Lodge and a block-booking of the Forest camping area (formerly ‘Lakeside South’ or ‘The Avenue’). It may also include some basic cabins.

If you’re camping, we encourage you to reserve a campsite in the Forest camping area (formerly ‘Lakeside South’ or ‘The Avenue’) to create a sense of community.

Prices and accommodation grants

An accommodation grant is available from Community of Christ on application to assist with the cost of basic self contained accommodation during the Camp period if:

  • you need self-contained accommodation because of special circumstances; and

  • you can’t, or may struggle to, afford self-contained accommodation.

This grant will reduce the cost of accommodation by approximately 50%. Please indicate on your Camp registration form if you would like to apply for this grant. The grant is only available for certain types of accommodation.

Types of accommodation at Tiona

For a site map and information about the different accommodation types, see Tiona Holiday Park’s website:  https://www.tiona.com.au/. Please note the following types of new accommodation:

  • Treehouse tents are a new “Glamping” experience located in the Glades zone near the Lodge.

  • Glades Villas are new 2 bedroom cabins in the Glades zone

  • The Nest is a new 1 bedroom cabin in the Beachside south area.

  • Family Villas are new two bedroom cabins in the Beachside south area

Seeking a room-mate?

Sharing accommodation with someone else can be a great way to reduce the cost of accommodation. If you would like to explore the possibility of a room-mate but need some help to find someone appropriate, you can tell us when you register for the Camp. We may be able to assist.

Meals

Breakfast is self-catered. You can also choose to self-cater for lunch and/or dinner. If you don’t have self-contained accommodation, you can use the camp kitchen.

You can book and pay to have lunch and/or dinner in our dining hall (camp style) with others from the camp. Our dining hall overlooks the lake and we have options for people with dietary requirements.

The platform to book and pay for meals opens in late October. If you are registered, we will write to you in October to let you know when and how you can book your meals.

Any questions?

Email us at TionaReunion@gmail.com if you have any questions about registration, accommodation, or meals (or about the camp in general).
