Fires continue to affect thousands of Australians

Our hearts go out to those who are battling blazes, supporting communities and preparing for the worst.

Our campground in Victoria, Kallara Conference Centre, has recently been evacuated as a precaution as there is a fire to its west in Euroa. Kallara is not expected to come under threat directly, however to be safe we have directed the guests staying there to evacuate and they will be led out by one of our members from Euroa to safety. We will continue to watch and update where necessary.

May we join our efforts with those supporting relief by donating directly to emergency services in your state, the Australian Red Cross, WIRES or your local relief effort.

May God’s spirit rest with those in need as the summer continues.

New Tiona Management

New Tiona Management

After months of negotiations, I am pleased to announce that the Tiona Management Lease has a new owner. Tiona Investments Pty Ltd will take over the operations of Tiona as of Wednesday 18 December 2019. CEO Rob Jeffress has many decades of experience in business, the short-term accommodation and tourism industry, management, marketing and media. Rob is the chair of the ASTRA (Australian Short-Term Rental Accommodation Association) Board, has significant business interests in the MidCoast area and is a resident of Boomerang Beach for large parts of the year.

Locally based Pancare fundraising group tops $20,000 this year!

Support4Pancare is a Victoria based fundraising group, with every cent raised going to the not-for-profit charity: Pancare Foundation. Their recent Cup Day fundraiser sausage sizzles brought in $2,975.35, taking the total for the year to over $20,000!

Having, sadly, lost friends to liver/pancreatic cancer, founding members were inspired to take action, starting the group to raise awareness and funds, both for research as well as to and care for people diagnosed with pancreatic and liver cancer.
