An online camp....? How can that work?

Our Youth & Young Adult Minister, Alicia Turner, shares more on the exciting online camp planned for the end of this month:

We are so excited to be taking camp VIRAL!

We know it won't be the same as being together physically, but we take solace knowing that we can create our sacred community virtually. The theme of 'Your chair is waiting' is both accurate in terms of we will be sitting a lot, but also a call to action and invitation to friends who's chair within the Community Plus family is waiting.

How is this going to work?? I hear you asking. We understand that schooling and university has all been done over zoom lately so we don't want to be sitting at our computers all day every day. We have designed a timetable that allows us to come together in the morning to worship together, have a workshop and a daily challenge and then have some time away from our computers.
You can do what every you like in the day whether it be spending some time outdoors, having a crack at your daily challenge, getting in some study or just the usual daily bible readings 😉. We are supportive of whatever you want to do - except annoying your siblings!!
We will meet online again in the afternoon for some games, break for dinner and then come back online for some campfire chats, communion, or a workshop and vespers.

Whilst we would love registered participants to be at every event we understand that life is happening at the same time so if you need to prioritise study/work/family/other commitments at the same time as the afternoon games etc or if you can only attend for one full day, we get it and the flow of camp will be open to that.

Registrations costs are $65**
A package will be mailed to you in the week leading up to camp.

*There will be minimal additional items you will need to provide e.g eggs for the cake mix. A note of all of these will be in the package.
