You are warmly invited to participate in an Israel/Palestine Peace Colloquy November 8-15, 2024. This is a Peace Colloquy on wheels. Unlike other international Peace Colloquies held at the Temple in Independence or local Peace Colloquies held online and in various locations, this Peace Colloquy will take you into places to see peace making at work in a place of conflict - Israel/Palestine.
The Israel/Palestine Peace Colloquy, led by Andrew Bolton and Steve Kellogg, is sponsored by the Community of Christ Peace and Justice Team working with Churches for Middle East Peace in Washington DC, and Mejdi Tours in Israel.
This Peace Colloquy on wheels will enable you to walk places where Jesus walked and meet Palestinian and Israeli peace makers. We will read the Sermon on the Mount together on the Mount of Beatitudes overlooking Lake Galilee. We will learn about Bethlehem and Jerusalem 2,000 years ago and today. You will hear about Community of Christ’s history in Jaffa. You will learn about peace making in the Middle East, and be able to advocate for Holy Land peace in an informed way when you return home. Peace in the Middle East is significant for peace in the world.
There are scholarships for students. There will be a reading list for all.
You will also be able to:
· Meet with USA, British, EU and Australian diplomats for exchange of perspectives.
· Be informed by the fair and balanced approach of the 2016 World Conference Israel/Palestine Resolution.
· Have Christian, Jewish and Muslim Israeli/Palestinian trained tour guides sharing different perspectives.
Security will be rigorous. Steve Kellogg and Andrew Bolton, your tour leaders, have worked in Africa and Asia and have been to Israel/Palestine before. Your safety is our first priority. Mejdi Tours will take good care of us - they have been doing these tours for 15 years, take no risks, and no one has been hurt on their tours.

The tour is open to the first 40 registrants. You can register any time before August 8. Once the first 20 registrations are received registrants will need to pay $300 to confirm their planned participation. When the final number of participants is set to establish the final tour pricing, final payments will be due August 26.
