November 2023
Saints Care has recently gone through a transitioning phase in consultation with both the Tuesday Connect program in Brisbane and the Food Pantry program in Perth, and it’s been determined that the best way forward at this time is for the programs to be delivered through the Community of Christ congregations.
At the same time, through this transition process, Saints Care has begun to identify potential multiple opportunities to engage with, which could add value and blessing to reach further vulnerable and needy people, with a current focus in South East Queensland.
These opportunities and prospective programs will in no way take away from these current ministries, but rather, will be a value adding opportunity for us to engage in further assisting local communities. Additionally, it will potentially create more pathways to involve extra volunteers from the local community, church members and friends if they desire. In this way we will be able to increase our impact and multiply our support to those who need it most.
We look forward to hearing many wonderful stories in the future from the Brisbane Tuesday Connect, Perth Food Pantry, and also other opportunities that may arise through Saints Care’s presence in the South East Queensland area and beyond.
Sincerely,
Michelle Comito Adam Wade
Saints Care Executive Officer Community of Christ Mission Centre President
