Father Rod Bower, announced as a speaker at our upcoming Peace Summit

The Peace Summit to be held in Newcastle at the Wallsend Community of Christ over Saturday and Sunday of 18-19 June 2022 will be one of the most significant events in our recent times that will bring together outstanding and noteworthy voices from all over Australia on the subject of, Peace and Justice.

We last highlighted one of our keynote speakers; Kari Sutton, this week I wish to spotlight Father Rod Bower who will be the keynote speaker at our Saturday Night Dinner event.

Father Rod Bower Is part of the Anglican Archdiocese Newcastle and serves as an Anglican priest and social activist. He is the newly appointed Director of Mission in the Diocese of Newcastle. As the Archdeacon for Justice Ministries and Chaplaincy he is very active within the community. He is most known for his church signs that advocate progressive causes. Rod Bower has built a reputation for tackling hard issues with grace, humour and cleverly “thinking outside the box”, in finding pathways to Peace and Justice, especially for the poor, displaced and marginalised within our communities.
