Join together to pray for those impacted by global crises, to reflect on your role in climate mitigation, and to recommit to a simpler, eco-friendly lifestyle. All those who have registered on our website will receive an invitation to sign up for a 15-minute period of focused prayer, meditation, or creative activity in your own home to support the prayer vigil.

The online Prayer Vigil will begin with devotions at noon on December 31 (PST) and there will be focus moments scheduled on a regular basis throughout the 24-hour vigil. The focus moments will include children’s focus, celebration of creation through art, music and poetry, public prayer, spiritual practices, and readings. We will close with devotions at noon (PST) on January 1, 2022. In Syndey, Australia, the vigil begins at 7 am January 1 and ends at 7 am January 2, following a closing worship. If you register, you will be sent a schedule of the focus moments and themes.

Participants are free to join the Zoom link for any of the focus moments, or to simply participate quietly on their own. Begin the New Year with an increased awareness and steady commitment to help lower carbon emissions and to mitigate climate crises around the globe.
