#GivingTuesdayNow is month-long, global campaign running throughout May in response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.

In Australia, it kicked off on May 5, with a global day of action, to connect with communities around the world that are giving back.

For the following Tuesdays in May, Australians will continue to give back, with a focus on giving thanks, giving local, giving time, and giving together.

Despite the distance, we have the power to shape and heal our communities if we work together.

Let's make a difference this May. Let's give, now.

Ways you can get involved:

Check in with your neighbours with a note or a socially-distant-appropriate wave.
Grab some #TakeawayTuesdays to support a local restaurant.
Donate to or enrol to volunteer for a community organisation in your local area.
Buy a gift card from a local business and give it to your family member, housemate or friend
Contribute to or set up a street library or foodbank.
Leave a thank you sign on your lawn or balcony for delivery drivers, and passers-by .
Write thank you cards and emails and send them out or store them for when social isolation is over.
Post your appreciation on Facebook for organisations that you know have helped.
Tag and thank someone in your Instagram story, then nominate them to thank three more people.
